Tech-UGA week means one thing, let the clean old fashioned hate begin.

Tech is playing with house money, UGA is just trying to save some face. The paper champs have little else to play for, shocking considering they were the much vaunted #1 team in the nation, before they actually began playing the games. Can Tech put the cherry on top of a season against “Clemson of the SEC?”

Who cares if there’s six days and a Presidential election in between? This is college football season and politics takes a quick backseat. Tech goes on to Tobacco Road to face a revived Tar Hill Football program, not since the days of Mack Brown has UNC football really been relevant. Coach Butch Davis must know a thing or two about recruiting and coaching, they are equally young and talented, and looking to prove something to the nation. Much may hinge on Tech’s injury report. Will the Josh Ness-Monster be ready to play, at what level, anything near FSU’s performance would be great.

Someone else to look out for, I liked what I saw from Nick Claytor, freshman and highly recruited lineman from North Georgia, he played much of the game against FSU and was creating space (o-line’s priority) to work The Johnson (Tech’s offensive system). He is already a big man who is just going to get bigger, faster, and stronger and maybe most importantly in this system, quicker! Remember #75, Nick Claytor, future stud, and we will need him next week against another quick D-line.

The good thing for fans is that we can enjoy last weeks victory all week long, stinks for the players, they have to put it behind them and get ready for the next big game.

Let’s discuss time and place for a JGF viewing party. Can’t make it to the UNC, no problem, join the JGF, the next best thing. Whose volunteering their place? I will be glad to arrange food. Game time is noon.

How does Tech beat Noles?

Tech has not beaten FSU since they joined the ACC, have come close and heart broken many many times. How will Tech beat the Noles come Saturday? Possibly the best two defenses in the ACC, BC wasn’t too bad either. Combine FSU’s defense with Tech’s propensity for turnovers and it doesn’t look good on paper.

Stinger Spence’s keys to the game: D-Line must create havoc up front against a young FSU O-line and give our offense more than 9 possessions (last’s weeks total). It will take at least 12 possessions for Tech to score enough and we need to hold FSU to 10 points or less, and then it still might be close. Can it be done? What say you Ramblin Rick?
