Put It on The Board, “It’s figured out!”

Put It on The Board, “It’s figured out!”

From ESPN’s Ed Cunningham regarding Tech’s offense, “the offense there is little-by-little getting figured out.” I love this logic.  When Tech loses, the immediate response is “it’s figured out,” not they didn’t execute or made too many mistakes, no it has been “figured out.”  In that case I guess every offense in the nation last year was “figured out” as well (minus Alabama, because it couldn’t have been Bama’s superior talent and execution).  How does anyone who knows anything about football say such things? Oh, that’s right, it’s an ESPN hack who is just pushing the rhetoric, the heresy, for the masses. I’m sad to say that Ed played center as a professional, he should know better.  Offensive center is a position that requires knowledge beyond one’s own duty and provides the greatest on-field perspective of the entire game.  To see him resort to such verbiage is just sad for all centers (past, present, and future) who know and appreciate the game. You disappoint Ed, hope the pay is good.

As a Tech fan this whole “figured out” speak has become a tiresome idiom that’s repeatedly used to criticize Tech’s offense.  I say, you take your tired worn out idiom while Tech continues to improve the execution of it’s offense and does nothing but win championships.  Go figure!
